Platform / Integration Engineer

We are looking for a Platform / Integration Engineer to build and manage integrations between AI agent platforms, cloud services, and external systems. The role focuses on API integration, AWS platform services, operational control-plane capabilities, and secure agent orchestration. The ideal candidate has strong Python engineering skills, experience with cloud-native integrations, and a solid understanding of distributed system reliability patterns.

What you will do

• Design and implement cloud-native integrations using Python and AWS services.
• Build and maintain integrations with AgentCore Gateway, IAM, CloudTrail, and related platform components.
• Develop and support REST APIs and service-to-service integration workflows.
• Implement A2A communication patterns based on JSON-RPC 2.0, Server-Sent Events (SSE), and Agent Card schemas.
• Design operational control-plane capabilities including throttling, quota enforcement, circuit breakers, and emergency kill-switch mechanisms.
• Integrate Human-in-the-Loop (HITL) approval and governance workflows into agent execution paths.
• Implement authentication, authorization, and secure service integration patterns.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize integration performance across distributed environments.
• Develop performance and latency tests for policy evaluation and agent interaction flows.
• Collaborate with platform, security, and AI engineering teams to deliver reliable and scalable agent integrations.
• Maintain operational observability, auditability, and cloud governance standards.

• AWS (AgentCore Gateway, IAM, CloudTrail) • Python integration engineering • REST API integration • A2A wire format (JSON-RPC 2.0, SSE, Agent Card schema) • Operational control plane patterns (agent throttling, quota enforcement, circuit breakers / kill-switch mechanisms) • HITL (Human-in-the-Loop) gate integration patterns • Performance testing (latency measurement for policy evaluation)

Experience:

• 4+ years of platform or backend engineering • Cloud-native API integration • AWS security services (IAM, STS, CloudTrail)

Will be a plus:

• AWS AgentCore Gateway policy enforcement integration • Load testing tools (k6, Locust) • MCP or agent gateway patterns
