Senior Backend Go Developer (R&M)

Axo Group is a Fintech company and the go-to loan broker in Norway, Sweden, Finland and Denmark. We are present in the whole Nordic region under our brands: Axo Finans, LendMe, Zmarta, uScore, Elskling, Insplanet and Axolaina. We have been in the market for 18+ years.

You will become a member of a global Tech team located in Oslo, Helsingborg and Lisbon, building a multilanguage, highly scalable, cloud native, multi market broker and membership platform.

Responsibilities

• Own complete backend feature development from spec through deployment — Go services on AWS
• Lead architectural discussions and document decisions in ADRs and LLD/HLD documents
• Build and review AI agent workflows using Claude Code or equivalent tools
• Design and operate scalable, event-driven services — APIs, queues and jobs (e.g. Go on Lambda, EventBridge, SQS)
• Integrate with internal platform services and third-party APIs
• Enforce GDPR and EU AI Act compliance requirements in every feature
• Mentor mid-level and junior engineers

Qualifications

• 5+ years backend experience; 2+ years of production Go strongly preferred
• Strong command of Go concurrency and idiomatic Go
• Solid API design experience (REST and/or gRPC)
• Deep relational-database experience (PostgreSQL)
• Experience designing scalable, event-driven systems
• Knowledge of testing and static analysis tooling
• Comfortable with debugging and performance tuning
