O que é pedido

• 5+ years of working experience in Data Engineering or closely related role
• Academic background in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Data Science, or related quantitative field
• Hands-on production experience in Databricks
• Significant experience building data workloads in Databricks, with a very good understanding of PySpark and Delta Lake
• Strong proficiency with SQL — window functions, complex joins and query tuning
• Experience with streaming or incremental ingestion (Structured Streaming, Auto Loader, or equivalent) and the patterns that keep it correct: idempotency, checkpointing and schema evolution
• Data modelling for BI and analytics
• Good understanding of testing and CI/CD for Databricks workflows, alongside the software engineering and DevOps basics — git, code review, linters, unit tests and CI/CD pipelines are things you use daily
• Data quality practice: testing data as well as code, using pipeline expectations, dbt tests or similar
• Outstanding proficiency in using Agentic AI tools like Cursor IDE and GitHub Copilot to accelerate code development, refactoring, and complex debugging
• Analytical mind with a strong problem-solving aptitude
• Experience collaborating with engineering and product development teams
• Fluency in English, both spoken and written
• We seek team members who live in Portugal or are willing and legally qualified to live and work there

O nosso recrutamento tem 3 fases conduzidas por pessoas da Imaginary Cloud e com 100% de feedback garantido.

• Avaliação técnica inicial: Avaliamos os teus conhecimentos sobre o teu percurso e o perfil que procuramos. Esta entrevista dura cerca de 30m e é conduzida por um futuro colega de departamento.
• Avaliação de alinhamento cultural: Queremos conhecer-te melhor e avaliar se os nossos objetivos e propósitos estão alinhados. Liderada por alguém de People, esta fase dura cerca de uma hora.
• Avaliação de proficiência técnica: Analisamos em detalhe as tuas capacidades técnicas com exercícios práticos relacionados ao cargo, observando como trabalhas e tomas decisões. Esta entrevista, de cerca de 2 horas, é conduzida por um futuro colega de departamento.
