About the job
As a Software Architect, you will work on the back-end systems of mobility+ hubs, which serve as the 'operating system' of EnBW HyperNetz. As part of a collaborative software development team, you build and operate back-end services for our B2B e-mobility business.
What you will do
- As part of a collaborative software development team, you build and operate back-end services for our B2B e-mobility business
- Working closely with product management, internal stakeholders, and external partners, you will translate business needs into sustainable and well-designed technical solutions
- Continuously design and evolve your team's service architecture, balancing scalability, maintainability, security, and compliance with pragmatic deliveries
- By remaining close to the implementation when necessary, you ensure that architectural decisions work well in practice and are grounded in real-world limitations
- Guide your team in applying Domain-Driven Design, Clean Architecture, and robust engineering practices
- Clear and pragmatic documentation of architectural decisions, system landscapes, and solution designs is created by you so that others can understand, review, and build on existing solutions
- Throughout the software lifecycle - from refinement to delivery - you contribute with a strong focus on quality, testability, and production stability
- Cloud-native development on Azure is actively shaped by you, including Infrastructure-as-Code, CI/CD pipelines, and operational excellence
- You also help promote the responsible and practical adoption of AI tools in software engineering within your team
What is required
- You hold a degree in computer science or a comparable qualification and bring a strong experience in software architecture, as well as enterprise development with Java and Spring Boot
- Architectural thinking comes naturally to you, combined with a practical mindset that allows you to stay close to the code whenever necessary
- Experience with Domain-Driven Design, Clean Architecture, Hexagonal Architecture, and pragmatic software design enables you to build scalable and maintainable systems
- Your background includes architectural documentation, system modeling, and the use of communication formats such as arc42, C4, or similar approaches
- Designing distributed systems, REST APIs, event-driven architectures, and common integration patterns are part of your professional routine
- Practical experience with Azure and cloud-native systems allows you to design, implement, and operate solutions using Infrastructure-as-Code
- A strong understanding of Clean Code, Test-Driven Development, and modern development tools shapes your daily work, including the Spring ecosystem, NoSQL databases, Maven, Gradle, Git, and GitHub Copilot
- Hands-on experience with AI tools in software engineering supports you in coding, documentation, testing, and development workflows, keeping quality, security, and compliance in mind
- You communicate confidently in English
