As a Java Backend Software Engineer, you will be part of a multidisciplinary Agile team responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable and high-performance backend solutions. You will contribute to the full software development lifecycle, working with modern Java technologies.

O que vais fazer

• Develop and maintain backend applications using Java 17, Spring Boot, and RESTful APIs
• Design and implement scalable microservices architectures following best practices and design patterns
• Build and optimize integrations with PostgreSQL, MySQL, and NoSQL databases
• Develop event-driven solutions using messaging technologies such as Kafka and RabbitMQ
• Contribute to cloud-native applications deployed on AWS, Azure, or GCP environments
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to support CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation
• Ensure software quality, security, scalability, and performance across solutions
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and work closely with cross-functional and international teams
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to technical discussions and architectural decisions

O que é pedido

• Higher education degree or attendance in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Science & Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience developing Java-based web applications, including experience with Java 17, Spring Framework, and REST API development
• Strong knowledge of microservices, object-oriented programming principles, software design patterns, security best practices, and scalable distributed systems
• Experience working with PostgreSQL, MySQL, NoSQL databases, and messaging solutions such as Kafka and RabbitMQ
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), DevOps methodologies, and Agile software development practices
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across functions and different time zones
• Fluent English is mandatory

• Experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD)
• Experience with CI/CD and containerization technologies such as Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes
• Knowledge of frontend technologies such as Angular, ReactJS, or Vue.js
