Your tasks

  • Develop and maintain Java-based enterprise applications used globally across Bosch production plants.
  • Contribute to digital manufacturing solutions in an international production environment.
  • Work as part of a multicultural and cross-functional team located in Braga (Portugal), Salzgitter, and Hildesheim (Germany) responsible for SW in production environment.
  • Collaborate with Bosch plants and internal stakeholders to define and implement software features and technical solutions.
  • Support the complete software development lifecycle including requirements engineering, implementation, testing, peer reviews, documentation, release management, maintenance, and user support.
  • Coordinate technical topics with external software suppliers and development partners.
  • Work with modern development and collaboration tools including ticketing systems, version control, configuration management, and planning/tracking solutions.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and innovation within manufacturing IT systems.

Your profile

What distinguishes you:

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience in Java software development and enterprise application design.
  • Practical experience with SQL databases and backend development.
  • Experience working in international or production-related IT environments is an advantage.
  • Good knowledge of modern Java frameworks and technologies such as Quarkus, Maven, or Java Server Faces and different application servers: WildFly / Tomcat Application.
  • Understanding of web services, REST APIs, and API design principles.
  • Experience with container technologies such as Docker or Podman.
  • Basic knowledge of Linux server administration.
  • Nice to have: experience with Ansible and GitHub Actions workflows.
  • Languages: Very good English communication skills, written and spoken.
  • Structured, proactive, and solution-oriented way of working.
  • Team player with strong collaboration and stakeholder communication skills.
  • Interest in working within an international and multicultural environment.
  • Willingness to occasionally travel to Germany or other Bosch locations.
  • Enthusiastic about technology and continuous learning.
  • Reliable, quality-oriented, and open-minded.
