This is our team: At our Competence Center for Software and Services, we are at the forefront of the digital transformation of buildings. Our mission is to develop and scale NEXOSPACE, our innovative suite of IoT services that makes buildings smarter, more efficient, and future-proof. We are a growing international team based in Portugal, Germany, and Bulgaria, dedicated to driving the success of our global customers.

We are looking for an experienced Java Developer whose primary focus is software development, with a genuine interest in understanding how their code runs in the cloud. In this role, development is the core of your day‑to‑day work. At the same time, you will gradually gain exposure to DevOps and cloud topics, working closely with experienced colleagues on CI/CD, cloud infrastructure, and operational aspects of our platform.

Your contribution to something big: As a Java Developer, you won't just be writing code; you'll be shaping the future of smart buildings with NEXOSPACE. You'll build the core services of our platform and own the process for deploying them reliably and efficiently, directly impacting the performance and security of our global IoT solutions. Your work will contribute to making buildings smarter, more efficient, and future-proof.

Your profile

What distinguishes you:

• Education: Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong Java background: Solid experience developing production‑ready applications with Java and Spring Boot.
• Developer‑first mindset: You identify primarily as a software developer and care deeply about code quality and design.
• Interest in DevOps: Curiosity and motivation to learn about CI/CD, cloud platforms, and deployment practices (hands‑on experience is a plus, not a must).
• Cloud exposure (plus): Experience or familiarity with Microsoft Azure, Kubernetes, or cloud‑native architectures is valued.
• Automation mindset: Willingness to automate development and operational tasks where it makes sense.
• Collaborative spirit: Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in an international, English‑speaking environment.
