Hardware and Software Test System Engineer (f/m/div.)

Your contribution to something big:

- Act as a key contributor in the industrialization of automotive infotainment test systems, with a strong focus on RF testing, high-frequency measurements, and broadcast communication standards.

- Specify and develop hardware and software architectures for new test stations according to project requirements.

- Follow up with suppliers during the development and construction of test machinery, ensuring technical alignment and quality.

- Perform machine acceptance assessments in accordance with Bosch requirements and automotive industry standards.

- Participate in the setup and commissioning of new production lines, both locally and abroad.

- Introduce new test system technologies and ensure their successful integration into production environments.

- Organize and execute test activities according to defined test plans.

- Identify technological advancements that can improve cost, performance, and efficiency of test systems and products.

- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for test systems, ensuring knowledge transfer across teams.

- Install new equipment, develop and commission test programs, and perform measurement capability analyses.

- Evaluate, validate, and document test results to ensure robust and reliable processes.

- Support sample and series production with technical expertise.

- Monitor key performance indicators (FPY, retest rate, test time) and drive continuous improvement actions.

What distinguishes you:

Education

- Master’s degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or a comparable technical field.

Experience

- At least 3 years of experience in hardware and software development or similar technical areas.

- Experience with infotainment test systems is a strong advantage.

Know-how

- Deep knowledge of automotive communication protocols and broadcast standards.

- Solid understanding of RF testing and high-frequency measurement techniques.

Languages

- Fluent English skills; German is a plus.

Working Style & Methods

- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.

- Organized, analytical, and capable of managing complex technical topics.

- Willingness to travel internationally.
