Build the automation backbone for embedded software engineering

You want to do more than operate CI systems – you want to design and evolve the automation backbone behind modern embedded software development?

As a DevOps Engineer for Embedded Software Automation & CI/CD, you will build, operate and continuously improve the automation ecosystem, CI/CD pipelines and development toolchains that enable fast, reliable and scalable software delivery for innovative eBike components.

Working in an international and agile DevOps team, you will play a key role in improving developer experience, software quality and release efficiency.

Your contribution to something big:

  • Design, implement, operate, and continuously improve CI/CD pipelines, including Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing for embedded systems
  • Develop and maintain automation solutions and scripts using Python, Groovy and Bash
  • Enhance and standardize the embedded development toolchain based on Git, Docker, Jenkins / GitHub Actions
  • Provide and maintain containerized development environments to ensure reproducibility and efficiency
  • Support developers and testers as a technical point of contact for CI/CD, automation and tooling topics
  • Continuously improve build and validation processes using tools such as CMake, Ninja, Clang-Tidy and Gcovr
  • Contribute to software quality and observability by collecting, structuring and visualizing relevant data and KPIs
  • Improve the availability and usability of engineering data across the software lifecycle
  • Collaborate with Product Owners, Software Architects and Quality Managers on development and release strategies
  • Take ownership of topics, identify optimization potential and proactively drive improvements

Your profile

What distinguishes you:

Education

  • MSc or PhD in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field - or equivalent practical experience

Experience

  • 2+ years of experience in DevOps, software automation or CI/CD
  • Ideally within an embedded software environment

Know how

  • Strong hands-on experience with CI/CD and automation tools: Docker, Git, Jenkins / GitHub Actions, Groovy, Bash, Python
  • Experience with build and development tooling: CMake or Bazel, Ninja, Clang-Tidy, Gcovr
  • Familiarity with cloud/infrastructure tools such as: Terraform, AWS, Artifactory
  • Knowledge of observability and monitoring tools (e.g., OpenTelemetry, Grafana) is a plus
  • Nice to have: experience with compilers (GCC, Clang, GHS) and tools like Prometheus or OpenSearch

Languages

  • Fluent in English and Portuguese (preferably)
