Telecom Security Consultant

Description

We are looking for an experienced Telecom Security Consultant to support cybersecurity strategy, security operations, resilience, and telecom transformation initiatives.

The candidate will work closely with telecommunications operators to assess risks, design security capabilities, and support security transformation programs.

This role requires a combination of telecom knowledge, cybersecurity expertise, and consulting skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver telecom cybersecurity consulting engagements.
• Support security maturity assessments and gap analyses.
• Contribute to telecom security network architecture and risk assessments.
• Support SOC, incident response, and cyber resilience programs for telco infrastructure.
• Assist clients in defining and implementing security operating models.
• Support business continuity and disaster recovery initiatives.
• Develop client-facing reports, presentations, and recommendations.
• Work with executive and technical stakeholders to drive security transformation.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in telecom, cybersecurity, or consulting environments.
• Strong understanding of telecom network architectures from 2G to 5G SA.
• Knowledge of telecom cybersecurity concepts and controls.
• Understanding of Security Operations Centers (SOC) technologies and incident response processes and its articulation with the Network Operations Center (NOC).
• Understanding of business continuity and resilience frameworks.
• Experience conducting client workshops and stakeholder engagements.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Mobility and willingness to travel.
• Experience in telecom operators or telecom-focused consulting organizations.
• Knowledge of NIST CSF, ISO 2700, Telecom security standards and frameworks, Cyber resilience and crisis management.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM & ISO 27001 Lead Implementer/Auditor.
• Fluent in Portuguese and English (written and spoken).
