We are anticipating the opening of a Senior Engineer ServiceNow position in our local technical team in Portugal. In this role, you will play a crucial part in managing cutting-edge enterprise solutions for over 4,000 end-users. The ServiceNow team consolidates the requirements from business departments and, along with you, we drive further development of the platform (which is the largest enterprise solution we use) to provide highly automated services for our internal users.
As an engineer, you have experience in designing workflows and scripts, as well as in configuring ServiceNow applications. As part of the ServiceNow platform team, you will design low-code solutions based on standards and build robust development concepts with us.

What you can expect in this role:
- You develop appropriate technical solutions based on business requirements, always aiming for standardization and following best practices.
- You are responsible for (re)configuring and developing existing and new workflows, business rules, client scripts, interface guidelines, notifications, and components for the integration of peripheral systems (LDAP, SSO, REST, SOAP, etc.)
- As a creative initiator, you develop your own optimization proposals to support business departments in their daily work and proactively support projects to ensure system stability, performance, and compliance.
- You can expect a motivated team that continuously strives to expand and improve the use of ServiceNow in our company.
Your essential experience and education:
- You have a minimum of 5 years of experience in the ServiceNow development environment and have gained deep knowledge of architecture and configuration (especially for ITSM / SRM, and ideally, HRSD and/or CMDB) during this time (ServiceNow certifications are a plus).
- Mandatory experience with JavaScript, XML, and REST / SOAP.
- Nice-to-haves include HTML / CSS.
- You are motivated by independent work and curiosity, as well as by the ability to work in a team.
- You enjoy understanding technical processes to implement them as effectively as possible on the IT side, for example, ITIL methodology as a plus.
- Fluent in English (proficiency in Portuguese and/or German is an advantage).
