X edition of ScratchDay will take place on the next 18th of October at the City of Culture. It is aimed at young people aged 7 to 15 and teachers.

The Professional College of Technical Engineering in Computer Science (CPETIG), thanks to the collaboration agreement it has with the Agency for the Technological Modernization of Galicia (AMTEGA), will develop a new edition of the Scratch Day program.

The initiative aims to break down myths surrounding computer programming and to awaken and foster vocations in the STEAM field from an early age.

This new day of learning and fun, which will take place on the upcoming 10th of October at the City of Culture of Galicia (Convention Hall - Building CINC), is aimed at young people aged between 7 and 15 and their parents, with the objective of encouraging creativity, entrepreneurship, and problem-solving skills.

In this edition, participants will work on programming an arcade video game, assembling a fan, and designing and programming an intelligent vehicle that reacts to light, sound, or obstacles.

Are there any requirements to attend the event?

For the kids' workshop, they must be between 7 and 15 years old and come accompanied by an adult.

Is prior knowledge of programming or Scratch required?

It is recommended (not mandatory) that participants are familiar with the Scratch environment.

Is it necessary to bring anything?

Yes, you must bring your laptop. It is also recommended to bring headphones.
