VAMOS EXPERIMENTAR...| Pixel Art Computer Based Workshop

Great for anyone interested in visual art, computer arts, retro games, and makers.

Workshop given in English and Portuguese.

This workshop is an introductory session aimed at introducing pixel art as a technique.

It will show the participant how to produce pixel art with open source software. In addition, the application of pixel art for retro computer games will be outlined.

The participants will be guided through a developing series of exercises which will culminate in their own project/piece.

This will allow an exploration of the techniques of production, from pixel art as a digital file to physical objects.

Bring: computer with mouse or any device that helps you to draw, such a graphics tablet.

Target audience: Age 14+/adults.

Registration: 12 € (the responsibility of the trainer)

BIO: Philip Hunt | Art Person | Teacher | Game Developer

Philip teaches English and painting. He makes retro games for the Game Boy handheld console. He likes making images with paint and pixels.
