VALUE AT MACHINE SPEED

The 0.1 Second Organization

The machine has already moved.

The data has been processed. The recommendation has been made. The action may already have been taken.

The organisation is still deciding.

On 4 December 2026, the ISACA Lisbon Chapter community will gather in Lisbon for its 11th Annual Conference: VALUE AT MACHINE SPEED.

A full day of international keynotes, applied sessions and challenging conversations will explore what happens when artificial intelligence, automation and increasingly autonomous technologies operate faster than traditional decision-making, governance, cybersecurity and assurance mechanisms.

The question is no longer simply whether organisations can adopt these technologies. It is whether they can convert their speed into sustainable value while remaining resilient, accountable and trusted.

THREE DIMENSIONS OF VALUE

1. BENEFITS AT MACHINE SPEED

How can organisations turn AI, automation, data and digital technologies into measurable outcomes rather than isolated experiments?

2. OPTIMISATION AT MACHINE SPEED

How should organisations combine people, processes, information, technology and investment when the time between decision and action approaches zero?

3. RISK AT MACHINE SPEED

How must cybersecurity, risk management, audit, compliance and assurance evolve when consequences emerge faster than conventional controls can respond?

DOERS AND WATCHERS

The conference will bring together two communities that organisations need to create value responsibly.

DOERS build, transform, operate, innovate and respond.

WATCHERS assess, challenge, govern, protect and assure.

These are not opposing roles. At machine speed, value depends on their ability to understand each other and act as part of the same organisational system.
