Role:

We’re looking for a driven IT Security Engineer to join our team in Porto. In this role you’ll safeguard our Microsoft 365‑centric environment and Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence), secure core networking gear (Fortigate firewalls & Juniper switches), and provide application‑security support. You’ll be a key player in keeping our 400‑user SaaS organization safe and compliant.

Responsibilities:

- You design, implement, and maintain secure configurations for Microsoft 365, Atlassian, Fortigate firewalls, and Juniper switches.

- You help shape our's security framework, protecting the company and building external trust.

- You monitor security events, hunt threats, and lead incident response across the cloud stack.

- You perform vulnerability assessments, patch management, and penetration testing of SaaS infrastructure.

- You define and enforce IAM policies, MFA, conditional access, and secure collaboration workflows.

- You support application security through secure coding reviews, SAST/DAST tools, audits, and incident handling.

- You automate security processes with PowerShell, Python, or Terraform, and maintain drift detection.

- You collaborate with DevOps to embed security into CI/CD pipelines.

- You ensure compliance with GDPR, ISO 27001, and internal standards.

Requirements:

- Deep expertise in Microsoft 365 security (Intune, Defender for Endpoint, Azure AD Conditional Access) and Atlassian security best practices.

- Proven experience securing Fortigate firewalls and Juniper networking gear.

- Strong background in vulnerability management, SIEM, threat hunting, incident response, and compliance audits.

- Familiarity with secure coding, SAST/DAST tools and application‑level penetration testing.

- Comfortable scripting in PowerShell, Python or similar.

- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and ability to translate security concepts into action.

- Fluent in English (Portuguese is a plus).
