Test Analyst

Full-time position, with an office located in Porto, Portugal.

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced test engineer/analyst to join us and play a key role in the development of our existing and new products, utilizing the latest technology. Collaboration is essential, so this is an on-site role; you need to access all equipment on-site, something that cannot be done remotely.

You will work closely with VITEC developers who maintain the IPTV platform at the forefront of video streaming technology. Seamless integration with IP video solutions allows live TV and videos to be quickly incorporated into impactful digital signage displays that engage, inform, and entertain. VITEC's IPTV platforms offer strong video streaming capabilities with minimal maintenance costs.

We are an international company, English is our primary language, so it is essential that you can read, speak, and write technically in English.

About the Role:

As a test engineer/analyst, you will bring your valuable experience to our established R&D team. Working in an agile environment, you will be involved in the testing process from start to finish.

Your main responsibilities will include:

- Designing, executing, and maintaining test cases

- Identifying, reporting, classifying, and retesting defects

- Collaborating within a multifunctional development team (working closely with developers to understand product requirements and functionalities)

- Managing the testing environment

- Documentation and reporting

- Ability to follow SDLC processes

- Customer-focused testing

- Static and dynamic testing methodologies

- Contributing to the continuous improvement of the QA process

About You:

You will have -

- Experience in manual testing

- Ability to work independently

- Ability to create test documentation

- Problem-solving skills along with strong organizational and analytical skills

- Strong communication and teamwork skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with multifunctional teams

- Always eager to develop, learn, and improve

- A good understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and processes

It is also desirable to have

- Knowledge of test automation

- Knowledge of non-functional testing

Additionally, we use Jira, Zephyr Scale, and Aha! Therefore, knowledge of these programs will be an advantage but not essential. We offer ISTQB Foundation qualification (International Software Testing Qualifications Board) if you do not already have it.
