Android Native Engineer

We are looking for an Android Native Engineer to integrate a hybrid project in Lisbon.

Profile:

- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field;

- At least 5 years of experience as a native Android developer using Java and Kotlin;

- In-depth knowledge of Modern Android Development (Jetpack, Compose, Room, etc.);

- Experience with Dependency Injection frameworks (Dagger 2, Hilt);

- Familiarity with networking tools and frameworks (e.g. Retrofit, RESTful APIs);

- Strong grasp of Kotlin Coroutines and Flows;

- Experience with testing frameworks: JUnit, Espresso, Mockito, Robolectric;

- Proficient in Git and CI/CD tooling;

- Ability to translate complex business requirements into technical solutions;

- Strong sense of UI/UX design and user-centric development;

- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in agile environments;

- Fluent in English; German language skills are a plus.

Responsibilities:

- Develop and maintain reliable, high-performance Android mobile applications;

- Implement software solutions using modern architectural patterns (MVC, MVP, MVVM);

- Write clean, testable code and maintain strong test coverage;

- Contribute to and improve CI/CD pipelines;

- Collaborate with developers, analysts, testers and other stakeholders in agile teams;

- Stay current with emerging technologies and suggest improvements through proof-of-concepts;

- Mentor and support fellow engineers through knowledge-sharing and collaboration;

- Ensure all applications meet usability and performance standards.
