What is this challenge about:

- Develop and maintain Unity 2D game systems, including combat, inventory, UI, and character progression.

- Integrate gameplay systems with backend services and web platforms (Angular + Node.js + MySQL).

- Collaborate on performance optimisation for mobile and desktop platforms.

- Contribute to the design and implementation of immersive 2D gameplay in a RPG environment.

- Participate in team discussions to refine game mechanics, system architecture, and user experience.

What we are looking for

- Minimum 3 years of experience with Unity 2D in commercial or published projects.

- Strong proficiency in C# for Unity (data structures, events, coroutines, input system).

- Hands-on experience with game system architecture (combat, inventory, UI, progression).

- Experience in performance optimisation for mobile and desktop platforms.

- Nice to have: knowledge of Shader Graph, URP, and Unity profiling tools.

- Fluent level of English (mandatory) and basic Portuguese communication skills for daily interaction.

- Availability to work on-site in Lisbon.
