We are looking for a Cloud Data Engineer, to work hybrid in Porto, who’s eager to embark on an exciting new opportunity!

What is this challenge about:
- Design, build, and optimize data pipelines on cloud platforms, primarily AWS (also Azure or GCP when relevant).
- Implement and enhance Lakehouse architectures (Iceberg preferred; Hudi or Delta as a plus).
- Automate and maintain ETL processes, data workflows, and orchestration tools such as Airflow or Step Functions.
- Ensure high standards of reliability, performance, automation, and security across all data solutions.
- Collaborate closely with delivery managers, architects, developers, and analysts to transform business requirements into technical solutions.
- Support incident resolution, root cause analysis, and preventive measures, while sharing knowledge and best practices with internal teams.

What we are looking for
- 3–5 years of experience building and maintaining data pipelines on public cloud platforms (preferably AWS, also Azure or GCP).
- 1+ year in data solution architecture, design, development, and support.
- Experience with database architecture, ETL, BI, Big Data, ML, and advanced analytics.
- Proficiency with Spark ecosystems (Hadoop is a plus).
- Familiarity with pipeline orchestration tools (Airflow, Step Functions, AWS Workflow).
- Hands-on experience with Lakehouse architectures (Iceberg, Hudi, Delta) and optimizations (Compaction, Z-Order).
- Strong programming skills in Python and SQL, experience with Docker, CI/CD, and automation.
- Familiarity with AWS services (Lambda, Glue, DynamoDB, Step Functions, AWS Batch).
- Awareness of DevOps principles, infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation), and vulnerability management.
- Experience with container-based applications and Linux-based environments is a plus.
- Fluent level of English (mandatory);
- Availability to work in a hybrid model, 3x per week in Porto.
