Junior Database Administrator

We're looking for a Junior Database Administrator to join our Academy!

At this Academy, you will be challenged with intensive training, both theoretical and in realistic labs, so you can be ready for Crossjoin's projects. Here, you’ll not only sharpen your technical abilities but also refine your soft skills, preparing you to face real-world challenges.

Requirements:

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics;

- No professional experience needed;

- Resilience in problem-solving and pressure situations;

- Autonomy and sense of responsibility;

- Organizational skills and efficient time/task management;

- Good communication skills.

Responsibilities:

- Install, configure, upgrade, maintain and Administrate open-source databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL/MariaDB, ElasticSearch, MongoDB, etc.).

- Ensure high availability, backups, replication, and disaster recovery.

- Monitor performance, tune queries.

- Apply security patches, manage access, and enforce data protection.

- Automate routine tasks and maintain monitoring/alerting systems.

- Document environments, procedures, and best practices.

- Evaluate and implement improvements for reliability, scalability, and cost.
