Senior MongoDB Administrator

What are you going to do?

- Act as the first technical contact to support customers with infrastructure setup and issue resolution;

- Implement, configure, and deploy MongoDB installations in OpenShift environments;

- Manage day-to-day MongoDB operations, including deployment, configuration, upgrades, and performance tuning (Ops Manager knowledge is a plus);

- Analyze and troubleshoot issues in standardized and automated environments, ensuring compliance with Siemens security and governance rules;

- Collaborate in a dynamic, international, and mostly English-speaking environment;

- Translate business demands and requirements into reliable technical solutions;

- Participate in on-call rotations and weekend work when required.

What are we looking for?

- 4+ years of experience in MongoDB administration, including deployment, upgrades, tuning, and troubleshooting (experience with Ops Manager is beneficial);

- Hands-on Linux administration experience, including networking, hardware, virtualization, containers, scripting, and I/O subsystems;

- Knowledge of ITIL and standard IT processes in large enterprise environments;

- Experience working in highly secure data centers;

- Solid experience with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure);

- Experience with containerization platforms such as OpenShift or Kubernetes;

- Scripting and automation skills (preferably Ansible, shell scripting, and Python);

- Experience in architecture and design of database systems, including migrations, performance audits, and large-scale deployments;

- Experience designing and maintaining systems handling large datasets and high transaction volumes;

- Knowledge of relational databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MySQL) is a plus;

- Written and verbal communication skills in English (B2 or above);

- Candidates must be based in Portugal and possess either European citizenship or a valid Work Visa/Residence Card – mandatory requirement;
