Lisbon

Full-time
55000 EUR
Hello!
Are you an experienced Lead Product Manager looking for growth in a team of highly skilled innovators, working on multiple products across various industries? Do you have experience as a PM in software companies or technology consulting? Additionally, do you live in the Lisbon metropolitan area or are you planning to move soon?
If yes, Altar could be the right place for you.
With us, you will help entrepreneurs and business leaders build innovative products that transform their industries, from early-stage MVPs to disruptive satellite products.
You will have the opportunity to work with various entrepreneurs and business leaders, including a former Product Owner from YouTube and a former General Director from HSBC. Not to mention amazing companies like the multi-award-winning regtech startup, Apiax, or Coca-Cola.
As a Lead Product Manager, you will work closely with entrepreneurs as if you were their co-founder. You will bring a lean management perspective to help them prioritize and focus on the right features at any moment. To prioritize, you will act as the orchestrator of the product vision and will need to have a deep understanding of the business.
Then, you will combine that with the User Experience vision, keeping in mind the technological impact of these decisions on demanding web projects.
You won’t be alone working with these cutting-edge technologies. You will be among an experienced, cross-functional team of Altarions, with expertise in a multitude of sectors, from fintech and marketplaces to AI and IoT.
This is a hybrid position, and as such, you are expected to come to the office 2 or 3 days a week.
What you will do:
As a Lead Product Manager, you will be:
- Leading with new clients as Product Owner;
- Managing the creation and execution of complex technical products from day one. In some cases, within a product team; in most cases, however, you will need to take full responsibility and steer the product direction with complete autonomy;
- Independently managing multiple products at the same time, organizing the process for various stakeholders – customers, developers, and designers;
- Assisting in some complex sales processes with proactive product recommendations.
- Creating and maintaining a product backlog;
- Actively mitigating impediments that impact the successful completion of Release/Sprint Goals;
- Using your knowledge of market, technology, competition, and current trends to define innovative functional solutions that enhance Product value.
The practical experience we need you to bring:
- Over 5 years of experience as a Product Manager in the Software Development Industry, of which at least 3 years working in software houses/technology consulting firms, creating products for clients, not (just) internally;
- Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills;
- Excellent organizational and time management skills;
- Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Creative thinking with vision;
- Fluid intelligence and abstract reasoning;
- Attention to detail;
- Ability to combine a structured and process-oriented approach with an out-of-the-box creative mindset;
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
The extra experience we would love to see:
- Previous experience as a Founder or Senior Product Manager in a Technology Startup.
Other important details:
- You will need to be located in the Lisbon Metropolitan Area, as this position requires regular visits to our office (2 to 3 days a week, on average) in central Lisbon;
- Depending on the candidate's experience, there is the option to start as a freelancer/independent contractor and evolve to a permanent position.
