Euronext Expands in Porto, Surpassing 500 Professionals by Strengthening Capabilities

Euronext is set to grow its operations in Porto, enhancing the capabilities of its technology center and securities settlement and custody unit. This expansion will lead the stock exchange management company to relocate from Avenida da Boavista to new facilities in Cedofeita, accommodating an additional 200 jobs over the next three years.

Currently, Euronext Securities and Euronext Technologies employ 350 professionals in Porto. The company confirmed plans to expand its team, aligning with its strategic goals and technological advancements.

“The technology center plays a vital role in Euronext’s operations, focusing on technology development, support, and protection activities, which impact exchanges and other group businesses globally,” the company stated.

Since its launch in 2017, Euronext Technologies has steadily added services, including cybersecurity, infrastructure management, and employee services, highlighting its growing importance within the group. Similarly, the securities settlement and custody unit has expanded to address both domestic and international challenges.

Euronext’s Porto operations have grown significantly due to the expansion of team responsibilities across various geographies and the natural evolution of the group. With representation in 18 countries, Portugal now ranks as the third-largest location for Euronext in terms of workforce, contributing over 12% of its total global employees.
