The University of Coimbra signed a three-year deal with Active Space Technologies. This partnership links academic research with real industrial work. It builds job-ready skills for students in the University of Coimbra aerospace engineering program.

Connecting Academia and Industry

The agreement covers mechanical, electrical, computer, and materials engineering. Engineers from Active Space Technologies will teach classes and lead workshops. The company will also host summer internships, master's dissertations, and doctoral research inside real business settings.

Joint R&D and Workforce Training

The Active Space Technologies partnership focuses on joint research projects. Teams will use university labs to test structural designs, build prototypes, and validate space systems. The program also provides short courses to train working engineers, raising Portugal space industry training standards alongside a recent deal with Critical FlyTech.
