UJET Opens Its First European Tech Hub in Porto

Porto has reached a new milestone in its journey as a tech capital. UJET, the San Francisco-based leader in AI-powered customer experience (CX), has officially opened its First European tech hub UJET. This move marks a strategic shift, positioning Portugal as the company’s primary Center of Excellence for the entire continent.

As devs.com.pt recently reported in their analysis of digital news trends, UJET entered the market through a partnership with the local studio Pixelmatters, ensuring a smooth integration into the Portuguese ecosystem.

Driving Next-Gen Customer Experience Solutions in Portugal

The new Porto office isn't just a satellite branch—it’s an innovation engine. UJET specializes in "Agency AI," a technology that automates processes and optimizes customer interactions in real time. By developing Next-gen customer experience solutions in Portugal, the company is leveraging the city’s unique energy to redefine global CX standards.

Raúl Costa, UJET’s Director of Operations, noted that Porto was chosen specifically for its "dynamic technological ecosystem." The goal is clear: use local expertise to speed up AI-driven solutions that will serve clients worldwide.

Ambitious Growth and Local Impact

The company is already making waves in the local job market. Out of UJET’s 300 global employees, more than 60 are already based in Portugal. However, the UJET workforce growth Porto 2026 plan suggests this is only the beginning.

The firm is actively looking to expand its team in high-value areas:

  • Software Engineering: Building the backbone of AI platforms.
  • Product Management: Shaping the future of user journeys.
  • AI Development: Implementing advanced automation.

This expansion reflects the broader trend of increasing software development jobs across the country, as Porto continues to attract Silicon Valley’s top players.

A Strategic Partnership for the Future

The successful launch was made possible through the Invest Porto UJET partnership, highlighting the city’s ability to attract and sustain foreign investment. By providing a stable environment and a highly qualified talent pool, Porto has proven it can compete with traditional hubs like Berlin or London.

UJET’s arrival is a long-term bet on Portugal’s intellectual capital. By combining California’s innovation culture with Portuguese engineering talent, the Porto hub is set to become a powerhouse for the next era of enterprise AI.
