The autonomous drone delivery startup Speedbird Aero raised 3.5 million euros in a round led by Lince Capital of Portugal, supported by Explorer Investments, Cedrus Capital, AcNext Capital, and a continuation of the MSW Capital MultiCorp 2 fund - which includes giants like Embraer and BB Seguros.
With operations in Brazil, Portugal, and the USA, Speedbird aims to channel this funding into R&D, expanding its aerospace engineering team and advancing to the next generation of unmanned aircraft systems. CEO Manoel Coelho states that the goal is clear: to build smarter, more robust, and scalable drones that meet the demands of modern logistics.
The startup is now focused on advancing AI-assisted navigation, safety systems, and modular cargo solutions - specifically for VTOL and long-distance deliveries. After revolutionizing the regulatory approval process in Latin America, Speedbird is expanding globally, aiming to change the way goods move in urban and remote areas.
