Orise, a German multinational, has bought Advanced Xelerate Tech (AXT), a Portuguese startup that specializes in SAP solutions. AXT was initially created within the xelerate.tech program.
This acquisition allows Orise to build on its local tech development and formally create a tech center in Porto. AXT, which was initially developed with Orise’s German headquarters in close cooperation, will now operate fully as part of Orise, while keeping its current team.
Christian Debus, President of Orise, mentioned that the new Porto center will be a source of great work and new ideas, following Orise and SAP standards. The first big project will focus on improving SAP Cloud ERP for over 1,600 system users.
After the purchase, Orise will provide a full range of SAP-based products and services in Portugal, using up-to-date technologies like:
- SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP)
- Business Data Cloud
- Cloud ERP and Cloud ERP Private
The combination is designed to make IT and OT systems work better together, opening doors for new ideas and better operations in the area.
For xelerate.tech, which has supported AXT from the start, this acquisition shows that its startup development model works. Operating in Porto since 2021, the Portuguese-German program helps companies create and expand their tech operations in Portugal through the Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) model, with a focus on quick, strong engineering teams.
