Neuraspace Secures $18 Million to Strengthen European Space Domain Awareness

Portuguese space traffic management startup Neuraspace has raised €15.6 million ($18 million) in new funding. The investment will expand European space domain awareness (SDA) and defense capabilities amid growing satellite traffic.

AI Platform and Sensor Network Expansion

The funding includes a €6 million Series B round and €9.6 million from Portugal’s Recovery and Resilience Plan. Public funds will directly support NeuraspaceDEF, an AI space traffic management platform built for civil and defense operational needs.

Neuraspace combines data from public catalogs, partner telescopes, and optical sensors. The Neuraspace funding round 2026 capital will add radar sensors to provide real-time tracking, collision alerts, and maneuver guidance. To learn more about the ecosystem, visit devs.com.pt.

Safeguarding Satellites and Strengthening Sovereignty

Neuraspace currently monitors over 600 satellites for clients like Spire Global and the European Space Agency (ESA). The company reported over 350% revenue growth over the past year. The expansion addresses both collision risks and counterspace threats, including cyberattacks and signal jamming.

By building European-controlled sensing infrastructure, the company advances Neuraspace sovereign space awareness while reducing reliance on external systems. Industry specialists looking for innovative technology partners can explore tech companies in Portugal.
