Emergn Boosts Female Leadership Amid Global Decline in Representation

While global female leadership continues to decline, Emergn, a London-based digital services consultancy, is going against the trend. The company recently promoted four women to senior global roles—including one in Portugal—highlighting its ongoing commitment to gender diversity.

Portugal remains a key strategic hub for Emergn, home to 80 employees and leaders across Marketing, Recruitment, Product Design, Automation, and .NET. The company plans to double its Porto team by 2026, strengthening its local footprint.

Among the latest appointments, Bárbara Veríssimo was named Head of Communications & Events, leading global comms from the Porto office. “It’s an honor to lead strategic communications for a company that values diversity and trusts its people to lead with impact,” she said.

Also promoted: Jaime Ruhl (Chief Revenue Officer), Inese Jesse (Head of Global HR), and Lita Marnauza (VP of Engineering & Technology). Emergn's leadership team now includes 36.4% women—well above the 2024 global average of 27.3%, according to MSCI.
