Tsuga, an AI observability startup based in Paris and co-founded by former Datadog engineers Gabriel-James Safar and Sébastien Deprez, has secured $10 million in a seed funding round led by General Catalyst, with participation from European venture capital firm Singular and angel investors including Philippe Corrot, co-founder of Mirakl.
The company offers tools to monitor, manage, and debug software across enterprise environments, enabling clients to track user interactions, server performance, and system health in real time.
Tsuga’s "bring your own cloud" model allows enterprises to keep data within their own infrastructure, reducing costs and security risks.
Safar and Deprez previously co-founded Madumbo, which was acquired by Datadog in 2018.
Their products played a key role in driving growth and contributing to Datadog’s IPO. They left in 2023 to launch Tsuga, aiming to apply their expertise to the next generation of observability solutions.
