Beyond Vision ramps up drone production with Alverca factory expansion

The town of Alverca is where you can find the drone manufacturer Beyond Vision. This company is making its factory in Alverca bigger. It wants to make as many things as it does now and it wants to do all of this by 2026. Beyond Vision thinks it can make between 500 and 800 drones every month. The company hopes to sell these drones and make between 30 and 40 million euros. Most of the sales will be, in Europe where the Beyond Vision drones will be used by people. Beyond Vision is really trying to sell a lot of its drones.

The facility is really busy. It takes up a lot of space. 2,000 Square meters on two floors. When you walk in you can smell the paint and hear the sound of drills all the time. This is because the fuselages are being worked on at stages.

On the ground floor there are workbenches, with markings where the staff put together the drones. They do this in an organized way so everything runs smoothly. The drones are the thing being worked on here and the facility is where the drones are made.

This month we are going to make a lot of drones. In fact 70 drones will be. Leave the assembly line. Tiago Marques, who is the head of design says this. Normally we make 15 to 25 drones every month.. This time we are making a lot more because we have a big order to fill. We need to make all these drones for the order so we are working really hard to get 70 drones ready this month.

There are a lot of drones gathered together. Some of them are gray VTOL models. These drones can take off. Land straight up and down. Once the drones are, in the air they can fly sideways like a plane. Each drone can fly for three hours. The drones can also carry a lot of cameras. We put the cameras on the drones last because they are very expensive and we do not want them to get broken. The cameras are an important part of the drones.

Beyond Vision currently employs 100 people at the Alverca facility, with plans to expand the team to 250. The company’s drones are already deployed across Europe, the USA, and Latin America, with growth ambitions fueled by increasing demand in commercial and industrial applications.
