Overview of the Role:
We are looking for a Linux Systems Administrator for a telecommunications operator in Portugal, which offers television, internet, fixed and mobile telephony services. The company is known for providing flexible and competitive solutions, focusing on customized and affordable packages for individual and business customers, with a strong presence outside major metropolitan areas.
What You Will Do:
You will be responsible for managing and maintaining Linux-based systems to ensure optimal performance, security, and availability. Your role will involve administering virtualization platforms, troubleshooting complex technical issues in high-availability environments, implementing patches and updates, and supporting network and storage platforms. You will also develop automation scripts, monitor web servers, and closely collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure service continuity.
What You Are Like:
- Degree in Computer Engineering or similar;
- A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in Linux systems administration (Red Hat, CentOS, or Ubuntu);
- At least 5 years of experience with virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V, or Proxmox);
- Experience with network storage platforms and strong knowledge of network services (DNS, Mail, DHCP, LDAP, AD, SSL);
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Bash, Python, etc.);
- High autonomy and analytical skills;
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
