Role Overview:
We are looking for an Azure Data Engineer to join our teams in one of the largest insurance groups in the world, present in 64 countries. This is a fully remote opportunity.
What you will do:
- Ensure management of applications and data in the cloud;
- Serverless Infrastructure: Collaborate on the design, development, and optimization of serverless Azure for data pipelines;
- Tune components for performance, scalability, security, and data privacy;
- Troubleshoot and ensure continuous connectivity of devices.
- External Data Integration: Extract, standardize, and enrich data from external partners via APIs; Ensure robust error handling and data validation.
- Database Management: Administer SQL and NoSQL databases, ensuring configuration and optimization; Implement data retention, backups, and collaborate with analysts.
- Data Pipeline Design: Design end-to-end data pipelines with quality checks and monitoring; Improve pipelines to meet changing business needs.
- Data Lake Management: Architect scalable data lakes with partitioning, indexing, and access controls; Maintain data lake integrity with data architects.
What you are like:
- At least 2 years of work experience as a Data Engineer;
- Experience implementing Azure technologies;
- Experience in data engineering (e.g., DAX, PySpark, Databricks, Azure Analysis Services, Azure DevOps, Spark);
- Experience with SQL databases (e.g., Amazon RDS and Amazon Aurora) and NoSQL (e.g., Amazon DynamoDB);
- Proven experience in Agile Scrum and/or Kanban projects.
