Senior Cobol Developer

Profile description:

- Develop and maintain COBOL applications according to project requirements.

- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented COBOL code.

- Collaborate with team members to analyze requirements, design solutions, and implement functionalities.

- Perform unit tests and debugging to ensure the quality and reliability of COBOL applications.

- Optimize COBOL code for performance, scalability, and maintainability.

- Keep up to date with COBOL language updates, best practices, and industry trends.

- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.

- Proficiency in the COBOL programming language.

- Good knowledge of English (minimum B2), French is a plus but not mandatory.

- Knowledge of Shell scripts, familiarity with performance and monitoring tools in AIX.

- Experience with other programming languages (e.g., Java, Python) is an advantage.

- Availability to work twice a week in Lisbon.

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or similar.
