How GenAI is reshaping Software Engineering?

One year of GenAI in engineering: real stories, hard lessons, new workflows, and what actually changed when AI moved from hype to production

Join us for practical, opinionated stories from people working with AI inside real organizations - the decisions, experiments, failures, trade-offs and lessons that come with moving from prototypes to production.

We’ll explore how workflows and team structures are evolving, where AI is creating real leverage, where new bottlenecks are appearing, and what teams would do differently if they were starting today.

This is not a GenAI 101 event. It’s designed for founders, CTOs, engineering managers, senior engineers and product leaders already building with AI, leading teams using it, or figuring out how it fits into their organization.

Agenda

Talk: Designing AI systems that stick: The Retention Flywheel & the retention.md spec

A practical look at how teams can move beyond passive prompt boxes and design AI products around trust, context and proactive utility.

Speaker: Madalena Costa

Founder & AI Product Experience Strategist at Human × Intelligent

Madalena is a product strategist, speaker and host of Human × Intelligent, exploring how we design AI systems grounded in human behavior.

(More speakers to be announced soon.)

About us

A new GenAI community in Lisbon

This is the first event of the GenAI Community Lisbon chapter.

GenAI Community is focused on the practical application of Generative AI, bringing together people building, experimenting with and applying AI across engineering, product, design and business.

The community is already active in Valencia, and Lisbon is one of the new chapters growing across Europe. Our goal is to build a strong local community while connecting practitioners across cities. So come for the first event, meet the community, and stay for what comes next!

A new GenAI community in Lisbon.

This event marks the first gathering of the GenAI Community Lisbon chapter.

Our goal is simple: build a strong local community while connecting practitioners across cities.

So come for the talks, meet the people building with AI in Lisbon, share what you’re learning — and stay for what comes next.

The networking

We’ll finish the evening with food, drinks and networking at AIhub by Unicorn Factory Lisboa.

Come with questions, ready to share experiments, your successes and your “we tried this and it absolutely didn’t work” stories.

This is a space for the people building GenAI today.

Seats are free, but registration is required.

See you in Lisbon!
